Paul is a highly seasoned energy executive with over 25 years’ experience in the global gas and LNG industry, across upstream, midstream, trading & financing. Paul now focuses on advising the Executives and Boards of energy and infrastructure companies, with a particular focus on new business, trading and shipping, and those focused on transitioning to low carbon solutions whilst maintaining and sustaining capital deployments and dividend cash flows from such.

More recently Paul has been working for clients on USA LNG export projects, expanding our biomethane reach in to established gas markets such as Spain, alongside business development for middle eastern clients in LatAm where feedstock supplies are more plentiful and have their own sustainability drivers.

In infrastructure Paul was the Senior Advisor to the Executive of ENAGAS SA, Spain and was responsible for the acquisition of Enagas’s investment in Tallgrass Energy USA having originated the deal.

In shipping, Paul served as MD of Fearnleys LNG Advisors and from 2015-2021 was advisor to the board of Tsakos Energy Navigation, a NYSE listed oil tanker and LNG Carrier company.

Paul was a founding Partner at Parallax Energy (Tellurian sold to Woodside Energy) in Houston where he held responsibility for all business development, group funding, and strategy as well as LNG Sales and Marketing.

Paul led Barclays Capital LNG team at the start of the banks move into LNG.  Whilst at BG Group, Paul led LNG business development teams in Egypt, Nigeria, UK and Houston.

Despite appearances Paul is a chartered Management Accountant ACMA. He really enjoys cooking; skiing; shooting; sailing and above all - great company and good wine.

 
 

Gary is Managing Consultant at Lansdowne Moritz and brings together our expertise across shipping, LNG and low carbon fuels. The value Gary brings to Lansdowne Moritz’s clients stems from his experience working across the full energy value chain as a consultant over the last 15 years.

Early in his career Gary’s work focused on upstream gas and LNG project development with major export projects in the US, Australia and Sub-Saharan Africa. In more recent years, Gary has been advising new entrants to the LNG bunker market and working with large ship owners to develop and execute procurement strategies for LNG, bioLNG and alternative fuels.

Prior to joining Lansdowne Moritz, Gary worked with an international ship broking firm to advise shipping companies on fleet renewal strategies, develop floating import infrastructure and to create flexible shipping strategies which support the growth of LNG marketing and trading businesses. Gary was previously a manager at Gas Strategies where he led the LNG consulting business. He started his career with Total Gas and Power working as Risk Analyst, providing daily gas demand and exposure reports to the gas trading team.

 
 

Chris has 25 years’ experience working as a management consultant to the gas and LNG business and for the last seven years has been focusing on the energy transition exploring new business opportunities in low or zero carbon projects. This has included conducting due diligence on a number of biomethane and bioLNG plants on behalf of investors, exploring opportunities for investment in hydrogen and ammonia projects, working with an investor to identify biomethane development opportunities in Spain and working as part of the development team for Greengate Biogas, a green field biomethane platform in Ireland backed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners. 

More broadly Chris has extensive experience developing market entry strategies, in gas contracting and negotiation, assessing energy, gas and biomethane markets, and leading major due diligence engagements.

 
 

Arjan is a leading expert in LNG bunkering. Until late 2020, he was responsible for building up Shell’s LNG bunkering business in Europe and the Middle East. He led the negotiations for all major contracts with Shell’s customers and has a wealth of experience in all commercial aspects of LNG bunkering.

As a consultant Arjan has supported major shipping companies on the procurement of LNG and bioLNG and has recently been working with an IOC on a strategy to set up a new global LNG bunkering business.

Arjan holds an MSc in Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and recently completed a master class in advanced negotiations at Harvard. Arjan is based in the Netherlands.

 
 

Jon has for the past six years worked as a consultant specializing in shipping decarbonization and alternative fuels.

Before joining Lansdowne Moritz, Jon was a key member of Clarksons’ Green Transition team, advising clients on fuel and decarbonization strategies, with a strong focus on identifying commercial opportunities and risks driven by regulations and industry shifts.

Prior to joining Clarksons, Jon was a consultant in DNV’s Maritime Advisory practice, where he played a central role in the development of a digital industry platform for LNG bunkering.

 

Morten Jacobsen is a biogas and biomethane expert with over 27 years of international experience spanning all key disciplines within biomethane projects, including project management, process design, construction, and operational support.

For the past 10 years, Morten has primarily advised global investors, private equity firms, and corporate clients on biomethane project development, due diligence, feasibility studies, and market entry strategies. He has collaborated closely with prominent companies and institutions such as Goldman Sachs, Verdalia Energy, Rambøll, Sweco, Arthur D. Little, and the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, assisting Danish companies in forming biogas alliances and successfully entering new international markets.

Morten’s ability to combine technical expertise with commercial insight makes him a highly sought-after advisor in the biomethane industry. He provides practical, investment-driven solutions that enable companies to scale, optimize, and maximize returns on their biogas assets.

 
 
 

Paul Jenkins

Paul is a Senior Associate at Lansdowne Moritz and brings extensive LNG experience, gained over a 35+ years in the industry. Paul’s corporate career was with BP, working across the breadth of BP’s global LNG activities. Thereafter, Paul has provided advice and support to numerous LNG business, and participated directly in major commercial negotiations, across a wide range of LNG activities around the world.

He has extensive and detailed knowledge and understanding of LNG SPA’s, MSA’s and TUA’s.
